Statement

On behalf of the Board of Ash Shahada Housing Association: “We are committed to

providing services of the highest quality, to support the communities in which we work.

We were extremely disappointed to read the allegations against our senior leadership

reported in the press. We have taken these allegations extremely seriously and

undertook detailed independent external investigations.

The allegations of bribery were not new. All allegations have been the subject of

thorough, independent investigation conducted by a professional services firm, and

with external legal input, and have been fully examined and closed. The outcome of the

investigation was clear, that there was no evidence found to substantiate any of the

allegations.

The process has now concluded, and there was no case to answer by our senior

leadership in relation to any of the allegations. We would like to thank the senior

leadership for continuing to work professionally during this process, and for their

cooperation throughout. We have full faith that the senior leadership will continue to

work and achieve the organisation’s strategic objectives over the coming years.

We are disappointed by the actions of some former board members We have removed

three board members due to breaches of our code of conduct."
