Matthew Kerchner

Matt is Director of Development Finance at a Homes England- and institutional-backed development lender in London that partners closely with developers and sponsors. He holds the CFA charter and has over a decade of experience in real estate credit, underwriting, and development finance across the US and UK, having previously worked in private equity and at challenger banks. Matt joined the Ash-Shahada board in 2026, drawn by ASHA's mission and values, and sees his role as one of service — keen to bring his development finance expertise to bear in helping the association deliver more good-quality, affordable housing for the communities it serves.
